Mr. Bloomstein joined Ares in November 2006 and currently serves as a Vice President and General Counsel of Ares Capital. Mr. Bloomstein also serves as the Deputy General Counsel of Ares. Prior to joining Ares, Mr. Bloomstein was an associate in the law firm of Latham & Watkins in its private equity and corporate groups, focusing on mergers and acquisitions transactions and securities law and general corporate matters. Mr. Bloomstein graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany and magna cum laude with a JD from the University of Miami, where he was elected to The Order of the Coif.
